Chicken dinner
An hour out of Zhanjiang, in the middle of nowhere, is a chicken restaurant. Wrapped in foil and mud, cooked in a clay oven, the chicken was succulent and delicious.
New things
Our new apartment (fourth floor down and the three windows on the right), and my new folding bike (nearly 30 years since I last rode one).
Out now
If the streets are not lined with palm trees they're often lined with bauhinia blakeana trees, the city flower for both Zhanjiang and Hong Kong.
